FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
1,250,000 Members in Two Months for
Fast-Growing AllAdvantage.com, Mass Release of Viewbar Scheduled
Hayward, Calif.June 2, 1999Just two months after
launching its "Get Paid to Surf the Web" program, AllAdvantage.com announced
today that it has surpassed 1.25 million registered members. The member-driven, Internet
services company continues its fast-paced growth at a rate of 10 to 20 thousand new
members each and every day. The company also announced that the first group of members
received the Viewbar on a test basis Sunday, with full-scale rollout scheduled to
start the first week of July.
"Our growth has been phenomenal," says Jim Jorgensen, CEO
of AllAdvantage.com. "We have become one of the fastest growing companies on the
Internet with no signs of slowing down."
AllAdvantage.com offers registered members a broad range of online
benefits, such as cash rewards, discounts and promotional offers. Members have access to
these benefits through the AllAdvantage.com Viewbar, a patented communications
device that provides users with online information while they surf the Internet.
As its next big step, AllAdvantage.com will begin the rollout of the
Viewbar to its one-million-plus members. A beta release to a small percentage of the
registered members began May 30. A larger scale beta program will occur later this month
to a group that has been predefined on a first-come, first-served basiswith the
full-scale release scheduled to begin the first week of July.
"It's exciting to see the Viewbar on people's
screens," says Jorgensen. "It is the start of a whole new way to use the
Internet. A more convenient, rewarding and productive way."
"Quite honestly, we were not prepared for the enormous sign up
rate," says Jorgensen. "At this point the popularity of the program is its
biggest problem. While we have had to close the site and database on occasion, we haven't
lost any member records, and we are able to correct any problems that exist."
